My name is  Brenda Olsen and I am the director of Essential Care Nevada Inc..  I started caring for the elderly at approximately age 12,  by helping a neighbor each week with tasks she could no longer complete by herself. I was fortunate to work for my dad in a chiropractic office during high school and enjoyed visiting with many elderly patients there.

 I also worked at a skilled nursing facility at age 17 as a nursing assistant and continued in long-term care while attending nursing school.  I developed a tremendous sense of  love and compassion for the elderly during this time.  Upon completing nursing school; in addition to keeping my job at the skilled nursing facility,  I worked as a RN on the medical floor at LDS hospital in SLC, Utah.  This brought many more sweet experiences with the elderly.

 We know the service given at Essential Care would be unsuccessful without the knowledge, care and compassion of our caregivers. ·Our caregivers are chosen carefully through the interview process. ·Each caregiver completes a thorough training program, is background checked and fingerprinted, is cleared physically to work and have had their previous work history checked.
