As the Area Manger and Owner i make it my Personal Goal to only hire Caregivers and CNA's that fit my requirements of excellence. I pride myself in our Caregivers for a few reasons. Our Caregivers are the, 'face' of my company. They represent EssentialCare and all that we stand for, and promote in our Personal Care Service.

When hiring, I look for very specific qualities. Experience, Compassion, Integrity, and Reliability. Once hired, i put the Caregiver on a, 'trial period' for both specific training and to see how well they do in the four area's of 'qualities' i want and need to see.

I need to see that the Caregiver has Experience, and can handle all kinds of situations that occur. That they have Compassion for the Elderly. There are times and things that will test their patience. I need to know they can handle the situations with grace,and compassion. I need to see that they have a high level of Integrity. They are entering a home filled with possessions and treasure. I want to know that they will treat those objects with care, not steal and always maintain their integrity. Most importantly is being Reliable. I need to see that they show up to their shift on time, that they stay the entire shift, and that they are always accountable for the hours they work.

Based off these qualities and how well they demonstrate them, I will hire them to a part of full time position.

I personally believe i have the BEST Caregivers!!! I am told in emails, letters and in person, by the families, Doctors, Nurses, Social Workers, other Companies how amazing our Caregivers are. I love when i hear these statements! It reminds me that i am hiring the, 'Cream to the Crop' in the Caregiving.
