As she aged, she was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease, had to leave her home and was admitted to a nursing home for treatment. At that time home care services were not available for her to stay at home. We would visit her and slowly she forgot who we were. I knew that she cared for us but it was hard to watch her disease progress. I looked up to her and loved her still the same. Through this love the desire to start EssentialCare elderly caregiver service was born. We wanted to find a way to help those with similar needs.    

Our experience has come full circle now as Emily’s grandparents have both benefited from the loving companionship of an EssentialCare elderly caregiver in their home. They loved the convenience and comfort of living at home but needed watchful care to create peace of mind for themselves and for all of us who love them.
